That being said, Road to Nowhere actually goes places. It explores and peels back so many layers of his story, and in some ways my own. There were things that suprised me about his up bringing...those things that happens behind closed doors of an immediate family's home, where we suffer in silence and hide our misbehavior. I know that writing and publishing this book was difficult but very necessary. Hopefully, people will read it and like myself, see a bit of themselves in the struggles, pain, trauma and the eventual realization that change starts with self. It was an easy read, but more importantly, you connected with the author. His pain and suffering were palpable, but so too was his determination to free himself from his past. This read brought out so many emotions but in the end, I shut the cover cheering Mr. Watson on to achieve his dream of helping others. I can't wait for a follow-up!
